Building materials sales and operations executive with 30+ years in the LBM industry, including 23 years with one of the nation’s largest publicly traded building materials suppliers serving residential builders. Rose through nearly every role in the business, from yard operations and dispatch to market P&L leadership and corporate sales operations, giving him credibility with both frontline teams and the C-suite. Grew up working in an independent lumber yard and brings a coaching-driven leadership style focused on developing talent, sharpening sales execution, and leading technology-enabled change.

KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS

• Partnered with area and sales managers across five states: built regional sales strategy and skills training and drove market-level implementation within a $1B region running 14.3% EBITDA, the company’s most profitable, driven by close custom-builder relationships and value-added millwork, truss, and framing programs.
• Faced significant field resistance to a company-wide CRM adoption; led the Salesforce rollout by anchoring change management in sales analytics; achieved implementation across all markets in two years.
• Owned corporate pricing leadership, annual planning, sales budgets, forecasting, and sales reporting for a 70+ market organization, plus marketing, customer events, and prospecting training.
• Previously, inherited full P&L ownership of a lumber, millwork, windows, and manufacturing market; directed sales, operations, purchasing, pricing, and 5-year growth plans; grew revenue from $48M to $75M and delivered the company’s top EBITDA market.
• Led a team of 15 outside sales reps through prospecting training, pricing, commissions and incentives, and forecasting; earned the Sales Manager Excellence award two of four years.
• Accountable for delivery, yard, safety, and warehouse performance at a single location; created physical inventory and operations SOPs; adopted as the standard across multiple locations.
