The Company:
Our client is a $75M independent full-line lumber and building materials dealer serving multifamily and residential builders and remodelers from multiple locations throughout the Northeast. They offer an extensive product line ranging from commodity lumber products to high-end custom design and installation.
The Opportunity:
As the Vice President of Sales, you will play a key role in driving business growth by fostering a high-energy sales culture, expanding market share, acquiring new clients, and increasing wallet share. You will lead the development and execution of the go-to-market sales strategy, focusing on value-based selling and a consultative approach rather than competing on price. Your leadership will be instrumental in developing a strong, talent-driven sales team while promoting a culture of success.
What You Will Need to Be Successful:
P&L Management: Proven experience in driving significant sales revenue and profitability.
Strategic Vision: Ability to develop and execute a go-to-market sales strategy aimed at gaining both market share and increasing wallet share.
People Leadership: Strong track record in attracting, mentoring, developing, and retaining top talent, while fostering a positive and high-performance sales culture.
Consultative Sales: Expertise in implementing a value-add, consultative approach to sales.
Purchasing Knowledge: Understanding of purchasing processes (a plus).
