VP of Operations
Our client is a leading $250 million build-to-order exterior door manufacturer based in the Midwest, specializing in premium, custom-designed doors for remodeling and new construction projects. Renowned for their high-quality craftsmanship, they sell exclusively to a network of dealers. The company is built on a foundation of excellence, with a dedicated team driven by a strong culture of engagement, innovation, and a relentless pursuit of improvement. The Opportunity:
As the VP of Operations, you will drive the optimization of their BTO manufacturing operations. With a solid foundation in Six Sigma and strategy, you will collaborate with senior leadership to align operational plans with company goals, develop technology roadmaps for automation and expansion, and implement initiatives to improve production efficiency. You will lead a team of 150, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and guide the company through its expansion to multiple sites. The role requires a hands-on, strategic leader who is passionate about inspiring their team to shape the future of the business.
To be successful you will need:
- A minimum of 10 years of integrated operations experience in a BTO manufacturer leading a team of over 150 employees
- Expansion expertise and oversite over multiple manufacturing sites
- A proven mix of strategic and tactical execution
- Lean Six Sigma methodology (black belt preferred)
- Savviness as an influential change agent
- Sense of ownership and accountability for self and team
- History of leading teams through mentoring, coaching, and inspiring to drive strong morale
