Our client is a $10M+ building products manufacturer specializing in high-quality roof and floor trusses. Serving agricultural and residential builders across Central Wisconsin and beyond, they offer custom truss systems and distribution. The Opportunity:
Our client is seeking a General Manager to lead operations at a 75,000 sq ft truss manufacturing facility. In this role, the GM will have full autonomy to oversee day-to-day operations, drive operational excellence, and shape a collaborative, high-performance culture. Key responsibilities include building trust with the team, expanding the customer base, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing experience, excellent relationship-building skills, and a steadfast commitment to improving efficiency, safety, and quality.
What You Will Need to Be Successful:
Manufacturing & Operations Leadership: Experience overseeing manufacturing processes and managing design teams to ensure high-quality output and operational efficiency, with full P&L responsibility for a $10M+ plant. Experience with Alpine is a plus but not required.
Team Building & Emotional Intelligence: Proven ability to lead by example, build trust, and foster a high-performance culture while bridging cultural gaps within the team.
Customer Relationship Management: Ability to work directly with customers to build lasting relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
Continuous Improvement & Safety Focus: Expertise in driving continuous improvement through KPIs, QA/QC practices, SOP creation, and safety initiatives.
Operational Efficiency & Field Value: Strong experience in driving efficiencies within manufacturing while ensuring high-quality value delivery in the field.
